The Madaro Family Community fund proudly hosts an annual community Thanksgiving Day Dinner every November. Founded in 2007 by former State Representative, Carlo Basile, this is a highly anticipated event marked by delicious food, thankful families, and the warmth of community. The event is a terrific opportunity for neighbors to gather for a day of service in support of families who would otherwise not have the ability to enjoy a traditional holiday feast with all the trimmings. In addition to providing Thanksgiving dinner for roughly 600 families in East Boston between dine-in, home deliveries, and pick-ups, MFCF also distributes over 150 turkeys for families in the community. This event would not be possible without the generosity of so many sponsors, local businesses, and an incredible team of volunteers who take time away from their own families during the holiday to give back to their neighbors.
